Gubra is seeking a Laboratory Technician to join our highly interactive Pharmacology Research Department consisting of animal technicians, laboratory technicians, and scientists.  In Pharmacology Research, we work with a variety of metabolic animal models. Our current focus is on diabetes, obesity, NASH/NAFLD, and gastrointestinal diseases; however, diabetic complications related to the cardiovascular system and kidneys (nephropathy) are growing areas of research at Gubra. To meet the growing requirements, we are seeking a technician with in vivo pharmacology experience, who takes great pride in his/her profession and strive to consistently produce high quality data. 
 
Gubra is an energetic scientific research organization with many stakeholders.  As such, a qualified candidate must possess highly developed communication and collaboration skills. The ideal candidate is self-motivated and sets high standards for themselves. Our workdays can be quite hectic and are constantly evolving to meet demands. It is therefore essential that the candidate have a flexible attitude and a willingness to step in and assist when needed.  
 
At Gubra, we strongly believe in advancing science by continuously testing hypotheses through scientific studies in both the animal facilities and the laboratory. As a laboratory technician in our Pharmacology department at Gubra, you will support that vision by taking ownership of the given responsibilities and tasks. 
 
Professional qualifications: 
You have a background as laboratory technician and experience within in vivo pharmacology, such as: 

• General hands-on in vivo experience 
• Surgical procedures in rodents  
• Tissue/organ-sampling and handling 
• Blood sampling and handling 

Personal qualifications: 
In general, you have a positive attitude and take great pride in your professional work. Our team appreciates if you have a sense of humor and are ready to join forces. Thus, to succeed in this position you need to:  

• Be well organized 
• Be flexible when plans and priorities changes 
• Have great communications skills
