We are looking for an Expression Assistant to join our team and contribute in taking VERO MODAs visual expression to new heights!

About the team and job

You will join VERO MODA's Photo team, consisting of four VERO MODA photographers and one Marketing Assistant. You will work closely with our Expression Specialist while also being in constant contact with the Marketing department, Buying teams and external staff, such as artists, models and photographers.

As VERO MODAs new Expression Assistant, your primary responsibility will be to assist our Expression Specialist.

The Expression Specialist is responsible for art directing, producing and styling most of the imagery for VERO MODA, so the role as Expression Assistant will be very flexible, dynamic and practical.

You will assist our Expression Specialist by supporting the creative process with inspiration and image research. Assisting on all shoots from the early planning, location scouting, styling, and prepping stages. You will be responsible for collecting and having all styles, shoes and accessories ready for the shoot. You will be on set, dressing the models and making sure everything is impeccable throughout the whole shoot. Additionally, you will always make sure that all aspects of our shoots run smoothly.

More specifically, your tasks will among others include:

• Assisting art direction with image research
• Pre-production of shoot (i.e. location scouting, making car, hotel and food bookings for internal staff etc.)
• Making notes and pre-styling documents during styling meetings
• Collecting all styles, accessories and shoes for each shoot
• Organizing studio and steaming all styles before each shoot
• Assisting during the shoots dressing the models, making sure styles are always ready and impeccable
• Making sure all clothes are correctly put away and returned to each department after the shoot
• Keeping styling room organized and kit bag full at all times
• Running various ad hoc errands.

You can expect monthly trips to Copenhagen in relation to photo shoots.

Qualifications

• Your educational background or previous experience is not essential. We are looking for a candidate whose main motivation is to learn the ins and outs of the Styling and Art Direction business. One who is fluent in written and spoken English, hard-working with a keen eye for detail, motivated and, last but not least, curious.
• The following qualifications are preferred but not required.
• Background or education within fashion
• Experience from a similar role
• Experience with photography
• Knowledge of Adobe tools.

Since working hours can be varied in connection with photo and location shoots, we need you to be flexible in terms of working hours.

Your personality

You are curious by nature, and you have a huge interest in fashion. You have a good taste, which you will put to use when assisting our Expression Specialist in making VERO MODAs look and feel just right and appealing to our fashion-conscious consumers.

You enjoy working in a fast-paced environment, and you can see needs before they arise. You take responsibility, and you are not afraid to roll up your sleeves and get things done. Furthermore, you are highly organized and detail-oriented, and you listen closely to the input you receive from your colleagues. In relation to this, you are outgoing and able to work together with people from various professional and cultural backgrounds.
