Do you have a strong background in pharmaceutical manufacturing and a proven track record for setting direction and meeting objectives in a complex setting? If so, then you could be the new Director of Biopharm API Mammalian Cell Production II. About the department You will head a department responsible for the production of API (Active Pharmaceutical Ingredient) for the treatment of haemophilia. The production site is located in Hillerød. As Director you will have 4 team leaders and a team of support specialists as direct reports (approx. 75 employees in the department) You will have the overall responsibility for the department in all aspects. You make sure that the right resources and competences are available and that the right prioritization is made between the various processes involved in API production, while maintaining a keen focus on meeting department budget targets and delivery on department KPIs. The job You will play a key role in Biopharm New Haemophilia API (BioNHAPI). You will coach and empower your team leaders and employees to deliver excellent results and take responsibility for their own professional and personal development. You report to the CVP of Biopharm New Haemophilia API and will be a member of the BioNHAPI management team, which consists of four department managers working closely together. The overriding focus of this position is to ensure punctual batch production and release through delivery of our new product development, Factor 9 API, in full compliance with the authorities’ requirements and NN policies, while ensuring that we never compromise on quality. In a dynamic and challenging environment with short and changing deadlines, you are expected to prioritise and take responsibility for understanding and meeting stakeholders’ requirements; also when an obvious solution is not readily available. You will work to maintain a high focus on continuous improvements of our processes both with regards to simplicity, compliance and delivery and drive LEAN projects aimed at optimising our internal processes in order to be able to meet the increasing demands from authorities and to support the continued growth of our business. Qualifications You have solid managerial experience from a similar role in a pharmaceutical company and your experience is backed by a Master’s in Pharmaceutical Sciences, engineering or other relevant field of expertise. You set and communicate a clear direction and you have an excellent overview, a structured mind-set and the ability to build relations with stakeholders. You are ambitious and display a high level of personal engagement, drive, persistence and integrity. You have a documented ability to manoeuvre and prioritise in a dynamic and challenging environment with short deadlines and you thrive in the decision-making role. If you have previous experience with API production and are familiar with Novo Nordisk production processes, it will be a major asset.
