 About the job

Your overall focus will be to support the use of operational data in a clinical trial setting. The use of operational data is key to ensuring success and optimisation of the execution of clinical development programmes.

Through your expertise with utilisation of operational data you are able to develop and maintain operational metrics from end-to-end; i.e. you are able to define key metrics as well as build and deploy reports and tools using primarily SQL, PowerBI, PowerApps and other reporting platforms. The primary tasks will be:

• Develop operational metrics in Global Clinical Operations
• Support ad-hoc reporting needs in Global Clinical Operations
• Build reports, dashboard using SQL, PowerBI and PowerApps
• Collaborate with colleagues in Clinical Systems & Analytics

 Experienced programmer/analyst with the right mindset

You have a solid background working with operational data; experience from the pharmaceutical and clinical industry is considered an advantage. You likely have a life science or IT degree; working with advanced SQL is one of your key skill sets.

Though the main part of the role is related to operational data you will on a daily basis engage with colleagues in Clinical Systems & Analytics as well as stakeholders in Global Clinical Operations, Corporate IT and other departments. Therefore you are open in your communications and go about engaging with all levels in an easy and constructive way.

The clinical development organisation is always changing and consequently you feel at ease with new challenges and take these on with an open mindset.

 About Clinical Systems & Analytics

Clinical Systems & Analytics is one of two departments in Clinical Processes & Systems, Global Clinical Operations (R&D). Together the two departments facilitate and drive process improvement, systems alignment and change processes. In addition the analytics area is growing and you will be working with colleagues across the two departments to implement reports, tools and dashboards for all of Global Clinical Operations. In the Clinical Processes & Systems departments you will be working with app. 18 colleagues to fulfil needs from Global Clinical Operations.
