Would you like to play a key role in the Production Engineering function specifying the next generation of Wind Turbines? Do you have a technical background with a solid understanding for assembly processes and are you motivated by being part of integrated product development via cross functional and cross organisational teams in an international environment.


Manufacturing & Global Procurement > Assembly
Global Production Engineering is a supporting function within the Assembly segment in Vestas. With teams in 3 regions, Production Engineering generates solutions to design-challenges in order to, fulfil the Vestas product and technology roadmaps. Production Engineering is a key player for implementation of new products and drive continues improvement.
To support the factories the Production Engineering department has a large interface across the Vestas organisation.


Responsibilities

  • Project manager on driving new product implementation, production basis, documentation and master data
  • Reviews of technical Requirement Specification and Production Work Instructions
  • Support on the Prototype builds and Tech transfers in the regions
  • Participate on regional/factory Engineering Change Management and continuous improvement activities
  • Drive layout road map and process flow for upstart of new plants
  • Maintain and update PFMEAs
  • Drive production setup in SAP routing and component allocation

Qualifications

  • Engineering degree - Mechanical or Production engineer preferred
  • Minimum 3-5 years' experience from large manufacturing companies
  • Extensive experience with Design for Manufacturing & PFMEA
  • Extensive experience within production setup and assembly processes
  • Experience in productions ERP system, SAP
  • Experience of engaging in technology transfer projects and knowledge transfer
