Welcome to Semco Maritime
You will join our Firefighting, Fluid & N2 team of 27 specialists. A team of experienced and dedicated engineers and we are looking to expand the team. Reporting to the department manager, the Mechanical Engineer is responsible for carrying out constructional/design jobs based on received data, assumption, pre-design, etc., within the specified timeframes and with quality.
 
Taking on responsibility for the project and the stakeholders
You know how to coordinate and manage the steps in the project independently or in collaboration with your colleagues. Your responsibilities will include:

• Responsible for each project in adherence to schedules, budget fulfilment, contractual obligations and realization
• Responsible for engineering and documentation, and also to provide advice/assistance to the installation/site supervision and commissioning activities when required
• Responsible for submission to customer and resolve any comments promptly
• Working together with the Procurement team for approved project purchases in adherence to pre-approved costs, ensuring quality and compatibility
• Responsible for practicing good HSE standards
• Assist the tenders team in supplication of information for preparation of quotes
• Ensure that project schedule, targets and plans are followed and in compliance with the customers' requirements
• Effectively monitor the project development by coordinating activities with various stakeholders

You will be a part of a dynamic team of project managers, engineers, documents controllers and Service Engineers whom are all determined to deliver the best result to the customer in a constant changing environment. You have a mechanical engineering background
We expect you have a Diploma in Mechanical or Electrical engineering. Besides that you have:

• At least 2 years relevant working experience in the Marine/Oil & Gas industry
• Applicants with similar experience in offshore firefighting solutions will have an added advantage
• Working knowledge of application software such as MS Office, MS Project, AutoCAD, etc.

You have a commercial mindset and thrive with the challenges within a project. You are

• self-motivated individual with high drive
• a goal-oriented team player with ability work under minimal supervision
• excellent coordination and multi-tasking ability
• communicate well on all levels
