About the department Our unit Operational Excellence has recently been established and will be a corner stone in supporting the new Novo Nordisk Global People & Organisation Strategy. One of the key challenges the new strategy addresses is recruitment of more than 10.000 employees globally within the years to come. This is a huge challenge in a market with labour shortage, a fierce competition in the industry and a great need for the right competences to sustain the future success of Novo Nordisk. Therefore Strategic Workforce Planning (SWP) is of increasing importance to Novo Nordisk – and we are looking for the person who will help us strengthen our capabilities in this field. Our multi-cultural unit has employees based in both Denmark and India, and is responsible for People Systems, Analytics and SWP, as well as the management of HR’s global project portfolio – including a current initiative to drive standardisation and optimisation across the people life cycle. The job As Workforce Planning Specialist your key job responsibilities are to: help define and develop the SWP methodology in Novo Nordisk, provide global guidance to internal stakeholders regarding SWP concepts and standards, perform data analytics, create links between workforce planning outcomes and line budgets and business plans, provide process execution support and hands-on assistance as required. There will also be ad hoc assignments and support in HR analytics projects. Qualifications Ideally, you have 5 years or so of work experience and you are familiar with HR processes, terminology and metrics. You can easily identify trends and patterns in workforce data and you have an ability to graphically display HR data for executive audiences. High level skills in the use of statistical modelling and forecasting techniques are a distinct advantage for the position. You have demonstrated knowledge and understanding of workforce planning models, frameworks and tools and preferably you have proven success in implementing strategic and integrated planning systems within a large complex operating environment. You possess a relevant academic background and training in a Business, Finance or Human Resources related discipline and ideally also a professional certification in workforce planning by an accredited institution. Important personal qualifications include: strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, fundamental business knowledge, and an ability to work effectively across cultures. You possess excellent stakeholder management and communication skills (incl. the ability to facilitate discussions and influence outcomes). You balance multiple priorities while staying focused under pressure, and drive to meet agreed deadlines with high quality. You are fluent in written and spoken English.
