In Global Sourcing we lead and co-ordinate the Strategic Sourcing in cross-functional Category Teams consisting of key stakeholders from Group Quality, Product Engineering, Technology & Service Solutions, and Factory Logistics. The department's key responsibilities are to.. Develop, communicate and implement global Category Strategies and Plans Supplier selection and development Negotiate terms and conditions with suppliers Support new product development and drive cost out activities targeting BOM cost reductions Improve agility of supply chain to support cash flow, Make-to-Order and general flexibility. We are looking for an experienced Strategic Purchaser, who mainly will work within area of Welded Structures and Transportation Equipment. Working area will be in one of our offices in either: Aarhus, Denmark; Beijing, China, Chennai, India or Tallinn, Estonia, depending on our next colleague's wishes. With an aggregate spend of 60 mio. € and +100 suppliers the department, Welded Structures and Transportation Equipment, has a sizeable impact on our operation cost and through participation in key programs such as Accelerated Earnings we are looking to increase the significance of our contribution to the company's profit margin by extending our cost out pipeline and ensuring swift executing of existing projects . Responsibilities: As a Strategic Purchaser you will play a key role in supporting the Category Manager in both the implementation of strategic initiatives and taking care of the on-going business. Your primary tasks will be to: Support the development and implementation of Category Strategy and Plans Lead supplier search and qualification as well as taking part in the Production Parts Approval Process (PPAP) Drive RFIs and RFQ processes toward the supply market Negotiate supplier agreements (NDA's, Purchase, Logistics and Price agreements) Conduct annual price negotiations with suppliers Follow up on supplier plans, activities and performance Provide input to new product development projects Build and execute pipeline of cost out ideas in collaboration with member of our category teams Update systems with contract information and administer drawing specification to suppliers Qualifications: You have a relevant educational background - for example Business Administration, Economics or Commerce or similar on Bachelor or Master level. We expect that you possess a high level of theoretical understanding in relevant areas e.g. Strategic Sourcing, Supplier Relationship Management and 1-5 years of relevant work experience from a purchasing environment. Ideally, you have experience within sourcing of Automotive / Heavy equipment as well as reading and interpreting basic print information (engineering drawings). Competencies: We expect you to be team player with highly developed communication and collaboration skills as you will have a high level of co-operation both internally and externally and a wide range of contact on all organizational levels. You got at strong business acumen - understands business implications of decisions; displays orientation to profitability; demonstrates knowledge of market and competition; aligns work with strategic goals. Moreover we are looking for a person who is: Fluent in business English - both in writing and spoken An experienced IT user, especially in Excel & Power Point (Microsoft Office) Analytically strong and good at working in a structured manner as you are going to manage multiple tasks in a complex environment Change-oriented and adaptive to organizational developments on corporate and departmental level Flexibility to working hours due to Global Timezones As a person we expect you to be open and honest.
