Danfysik A/S are currently seeking a software engineer to front our global power-supply and particle-accelerator design activities. As our new software engineer, not only will you assist in developing the platform that will form the basis of our next generation of power supplies, but you will also be involved in implementing this into our products. Control systems for power electronics and particle accelerators The successful candidate will join a department which possesses unique expertise in designing power supplies ranging from a few kilowatts up to several megawatts in strength, and will become part of an organisation supplying the most advanced accelerators in the world. Together with your colleagues, you will be tasked with developing and programming our next-generation, digitally regulated power-supply platform. Primary tasks: •Designing and implementing a new control-system platform for a new generation of power supplies •Designing and implementing control systems for smaller accelerator facilities •Developing measurement systems for use in production testing As our new software engineer, you will be our expert within this field, and you will set the standard for control management in our future power supplies. Your work will be part of our general development initiatives conducted in close collaboration with our customers. Engineer with a solid theoretical foundation and a desire to challenge We welcome all applications from individuals who possess an electrical-engineering background specialising in software. As well as being conversant with modern software-development methods, we also expect you to have experience of working with operating, regulatory and embedded systems, preferably also with Linux and configuration management. Applicants must be accustomed to working with various platforms, including .net and LabView, as well as with programming languages such as C/C#. Furthermore, some control systems require programming in PLC Twincat3. The position calls for an individual with solid theoretical knowledge and who has new ideas for improving and optimising our products and processes. On a personal level, we expect you to be able to think holistically and be good at working with others. You must have an understanding of different cultures as the majority of our customers are international, and therefore you must also be capable of communicating fluently in both written and spoken English.
