Vestas is looking for a Senior Specialist with extensive experience in development and optimization of supply chain solutions and processes. Vestas Manufacturing & Global Sourcing/Global Sourcing/Business Development & Operations This role reports through the Global Sourcing organization responsible for all strategic sourcing and procurement of this multi bullion Euro business. This role is part of the Staff Function in Global Sourcing, Business Development and Operations Responsibilities: Vestas is looking for a strong, hands-on and business oriented Senior Specialist for Supply Chain Excellence. The function reports into the Vice President of the Business Development & Operations in Global Sourcing. The Senior Specialist will be responsible for analyzing, developing and optimizing supply chain solutions and processes within a global manufacturing set up in close cooperation with key functions in Vestas; Technology & Service Solutions, Supply Chain Planning, Manufacturing, Construction and Service and external suppliers and business partners. The person will play a key role in developing the strategy in this area and will be responsible for proactively driving and implementing a number of optimization projects supporting the business and securing continuous improvements seen from a total cost of ownership perspective and with the full value chain in mind. Qualifications: We are looking for an experienced person who has a track record of working with suppliers and manufacturing to implement supply chain improvements, including make/buy. To be successful in this position you have worked within an industrial company or a consulting firm on break through make/buy and supply chain optimization assignments for at least 5 years. You will have an open approach to encourage stakeholder inputs and a structured and fact-based approach to secure ideas are prioritized and implemented. You are a team player and persistent to secure the successful implementation of the initiatives you lead. Furthermore, we are looking for a profile with a: MBA or MSc. Degree (or equivalent) in SCM, Business or Engineering Experience and knowledge with manufacturing and sourcing in multinational companies Strong leadership and people management skills - the ability to lead cross functional teams and to bring people together Competencies: Hands on experience with lean tools and concepts, including Value Chain Mapping, Lean Assessments, 7 wastes, 5S Extrovert, excellent verbal and written communication skills in English A holistic and positive mindset: you will see the big picture from Vestas product offerings to our customers to supplier offerings and how they can positively impact Vestas sales and cost out programs Capable to comprehend complex solutions coupled with strong analytical, structured and fact-based approach Proactive and self-driven Persistent, hardworking and process oriented What we offer: We offer you an exciting and challenging job with excellent opportunities for professional and personal development within the leading company in wind energy.
