Experienced Software Designer Are you dreaming of developing products that make a difference, and are you passionate about participating in selecting the future technologies? For the R&D function at DEIF, we are looking for an experienced Software Designer who is passionate about working with ambitious goals and known for leaving a lasting imprint on the development of future, pioneering products. The job: You will assist in building our software architecture and collaborate with colleagues to create unique products. In the long run, you must help to ensure that DEIF chooses the right technologies, solutions and methods. We are working in an agile development environment with methods like Scrum and Kanban, and we apply test automation to a high degree. We develop embedded software for our engine and genset control products, coded in C++ and ANSI C on, among others, Linux platforms and fieldbus, CAN, TCP/IP, Modbus, IEC61850 MMS and GOOSE, and we expect that you have experience with the above programming languages. The products often include safety-critical installations, where compliance with safety standard IEC61508 is required, and it is therefore an advantage if you already have knowledge of it. The person: We are looking for a person with a high professional standard, who has proved his/her worth in other companies. You must have a sharp eye for the whole picture in development projects, and you must be able to see through complex contexts, structures and scalings, and you can program. The tasks are to be solved in cooperation with the other experts on our products/solutions, and you must be able to collaborate and communicate across functions in a dynamic organisation with the aim ahead. You have an educational background as a Computer Scientist/Master's degree in Computer Science or an equivalent level combined with around 10 years of relevant experience within design of software systems, framework design and end-user interfaces.
