Are you ready to apply your extensive experience and deep technical knowledge of electrical systems? Are you highly motivated to take on an essential role in the continuous development of our Product Roadmap and MHI Vestas’ overall strategy?

Tasks & responsibilities: You will…
…be responsible for leading, driving and aligning the development of MHI Vestas’ electrical sub-systems roadmap together with key internal stakeholders, Vestas Wind Systems and Mitsubishi Heavy Industries. The electrical sub-systems comprise controller, converter, transformer, switchgear, power backup solutions, auxiliary power supply, cables, grid interface and grid integration.

You will also be responsible for:

Integrating the electrical sub-system roadmap into our Product Roadmap
The technical aspects of customer-facing activities and representing MHI Vestas at conferences and fairs within your expert area
Setting the overall strategic direction for the Category team where you will work with other technical specialists (the Category teams are led by Sourcing)
The technical content in meetings with suppliers and customers regarding your expert area and related technology topics

Skills & experience: Our new Senior Programme Specialist…
…has extensive experience and knowledge of electrical systems technologies and how this impact other wind turbine systems. We expect that you have at least 5 years of experience from senior technology leadership role within wind, preferably offshore wind. Since you will be working closely with both internal and external stakeholders, it is important that you navigate easily in a complex stakeholder landscape with an extrovert, entrepreneurial and cross-functionally mindset.

Have in-depth knowledge of integrating wind turbines with the grid
Have good understanding of loads and controls and how this impact electrical systems and neighbouring systems
Bring strong commercial understanding and a good value chain insight
Are a skilled communicator with a collaborative and solution oriented style
