Would you like to assist DONG Energy Wind Power in maintaining its leading position within offshore wind energy? Join us and become Senior Analyst in Market Intelligence, which is a new department responsible for surveying the market development within offshore wind energy and providing direction for the organisation. The department is part of Wind Power, which has 1400 employees and is one of four business units in DONG Energy. Wind Power is the world's largest developer and operator of offshore wind power, and we use our unique knowledge in all phases of our wind turbine projects. During the last 20 years, we have developed and constructed the largest portfolio of offshore wind farms in Northern Europe. You may choose freely to be based either at our office in Skærbæk near Fredericia or in Gentofte in the Greater Copenhagen area. However, you should expect some travelling in relation to your work. Areas of responsibility The department has recently been established and you will therefore play an active role in defining how the department will solve its tasks in order to reach its objectives, and in positioning the department within the organisation. The overarching objective for the department is to understand the market and the competitive landscape for Wind Power, and feed this information into relevant decision fora in the organisation in order to ensure that resources are directed towards the right projects. Furthermore, your key duties will be to: •participate in the development and implementation of market research plans for the organisation, and manage internal projects and activities to achieve this target •build knowledge in the Market Intelligence unit using publicly available information about the market and our competitors from the press, conferences, etc. •build a network and reach out to the organisation to identify available market intelligence. This activity will include directing workshops and performing interviews. •build information in our databases to ensure effective knowledge management with regard to information about markets, competitors, projects and suppliers which will be leveraged to help projects with their bidding strategy •communicate relevant information to decision-makers in the organisation in structured end products, and participate in strategic discussions with the purpose of setting the right direction for the company. Your profile You have a master's degree in engineering, economics or business administration and at least 3-5 years' work experience. You are able to discuss both technical solutions in the construction of wind farms and the capital structure for major utilities. You also have the ability to build and maintain networks to establish the Market Intelligence unit in the company, and you have an analytical mindset. As we operate in an international environment, it is essential that you speak and write English fluently. You are an experienced user of Powerpoint, and you are comfortable with Excel and have some understanding of statistics and probability distributions. Additionally, you feel comfortable being the centre of attention, eg when directing a workshop or performing a presentation. You are passionate about offshore wind and have some knowledge of the industry. Finally, you thrive in an international environment.
