Nordea’s IT Operational Risk team is currently expanding. We are looking for IT Senior Operational Risk Officers with broad experience in IT and Operational Risk, preferably with financial industry experience. The position we offer Business is about taking and managing risks. You will be part of an organization of Operational Risk Managers that are responsible for oversight, analysis and challenge, reporting and advising management on all operational risk issues. You will work closely with the various subject expert teams within your assigned business area and other operational risk managers. Nordea has significantly strengthened its focus on operational risks over the last few years and now we are looking for additional Senior IT Operational Risk officers (IT OROs). When operating as IT ORO you are expected to have a good overview of the IT organisation and the business area that you will be aligned to, plus the Nordea value chain. Based on a thorough understanding of operational IT risk management combined with strong business knowledge and communication skills you support managing the risks that are inherent in all activities. This includes the risks inherent in managing infrastructure systems, common IT processes, application development, sourcing, employees or other stakeholders and external threats. You will support your business area proactively to understand the purpose and value of the operational risk management framework and you will monitor the performance of the majority of the mandatory processes in the operational risk framework. You work as an independent and professional operational risk adviser including performing tasks to independently monitor, control and report on risks to ensure adequate and proactive operational IT risk management in your business area and in Nordea. As IT ORO you will be expected to positively challenge, engage and interact with relevant stakeholders and support the continued development of operational IT risk management in Nordea. The result of proper risk management is increased operational risk awareness among managers and employees - safeguarding business against unexpected losses and protecting Nordea’s reputation. Nordea Group operates across the Nordic countries and possible locations would be Copenhagen, Helsinki, Stockholm or Oslo with some travel expected. Relocation support is offered to experienced international profiles. The qualifications you need You should possess a solid knowledge of best practice techniques in the IT industry covering IT Operations, Program management and Information security man-agement. You must have at least several years hands-on risk experience gained in either operational teams or risk. ISACA, ITIL, PMBOK or related qualifications will be an advantage. As will experience with the European banking regulatory environment. We deal with complex issues and often with limited time to take decisions.
