Do you want the technical leadership responsibility, ensuring we continue to deliver world-class on- and offshore substations across the US, Asia-Pacific and Europe?
Join us and become Senior Chief Specialist for our Substations organisation, where you’ll be the technical authority within all technical deliverables, the final approver of all business-critical technical decisions and the focal point of contact for stakeholders on strategic and tactical decisions related to our technical area of responsibility. Together with Electrical Systems and Product Line, Substations delivers world-class transmission systems with a strong focus on reducing costs through continual technological advancement.
Your key tasks will be to
- provide technical leadership within the Substations organisation (160+ FTEs) as well as within the lead specialist team in close collaboration with Substations senior management
- secure development of technical solutions that match overall strategy for own area and the organisa-tion
- drive market intelligence and mapping of new technology needs within all areas of responsibility
- give advice on technical solutions providing decision makers with the technical information necessary to make sound business decisions
- minimise implementation and QHSE risk of new technologies and concepts.
Overall, the successful candidate will make an impact in the industry through leadership of people within the technology area, driving of technical development and innovation as well as securing the company’s business interest through sound technology implementation.
Your competences include that you
- have a PhD or MSc in engineering with substantial accomplishments within the offshore wind industry
- have an excellent understanding of and experience with technical aspects related to onshore and offshore substations covering all phases of a construction project
- are highly competent in navigating and leading up and across in a complex global matrix organisation with very skilled professionals
- are highly skilled in technical communication, incl. writing specifications and scientific papers as well as oral presentations
- have experience with national schemes for certification and Professional Engineer in markets where we operate.
