In Global Development, we are responsible for managing clinical drug development worldwide from early development phases to product introduction. We ensure medical and scientific documentation for clinical submissions and authorities while ensuring that the process lives up to uniform global standards, regulations and business ethics. About the department The Programming Anchor consists of 10 skilled statistical programmers and specialists. The Anchor is responsible for driving cross functional projects and development of programming tools related to our clinical data warehouse and data reporting according to CDISC standards. We support the clinical development projects in planning and conduct of training within the statistical computing environment. As an anchor function we are responsible for several data driven projects such as e.g. data transparency and medical monitoring tools. The Programming Anchor is part of Novo Nordisk’s Clinical Systems Dept. and the largest stakeholder is Biostatistics with 160 statisticians and statistical programmers globally in our R&D clinical development organisation. Clinical Systems is a dynamic department which cooperates with many different professionals in the organisation both in Denmark and internationally with our affiliates in the US, India, China and Japan. The job is situated in Copenhagen. The job As a programming specialist you will be a driving force in the implementation of CDISC data standards globally in Novo Nordisk. The job includes development and maintenance of SAS tools for mapping clinical data to CDISC standards and you will be part of system development and process improvement projects within statistical programming. You will contribute to maintenance of global clinical data standards and data models and furthermore, act as a trainer and supporter in the global Biostatistics organisation. As a person you are not afraid of taking responsibility for both standard tasks and more complex time critical tasks. We expect you to take actively part in method and process improvement projects and knowledge sharing which are key values in Novo Nordisk. Therefore you must be able to communicate programming/technical problems and ideas both internally and externally in fluent English. Qualifications You have a B.Sc. or M.Sc. within IT, natural sciences or other relevant degree, extensive knowledge and experience with SAS programming, IT system development methodologies, CDISC and clinical data domains. You have 5-8 years’ experience within statistical programming and write efficient, well documented SAS programs. Furthermore, strong cooperation and analytical skills are a necessity. You are capable of working independently, take on responsibility and show initiative. We expect flexibility, efficiency combined with the ability to manage several challenging tasks in parallel without compromising quality. Experience with a UNIX environment, driving IT projects and providing training to end users will be an advantage. Good collaboration and communication skills in fluent English are essential.
