Global Marketing, Communications & Corporate Relations (GMCR), Media & Public Relations Global Marketing, Communication & Corporate Relations (GMCR) is a commercial centre point of Vestas, holding responsibility for the global platforms within Marketing, Communication, Public Affairs, Branding, Customer Excellence, Competitor Intelligence, and Product Marketing, and for supporting commercial strategy development and implementation. Media and Public Relations is responsible for all communication to the media from a corporate perspective and consists of a small, but strong team, who works closely not only with the Vestas Executive Committee, but also with our communication colleagues in the Vestas sales business units and, naturally, also with key business and trade media globally. Responsibilities: Key responsibilities include: ensure continuous dialogue with media and other external stakeholders to proactively pitch positive stories drive Public Relations initiatives for Vestas’ key initiatives and campaigns ensure external communication activities in relation to product launches ensure high quality and timely crisis and incident communication leverage main activities and announcements through high quality PR efforts support global spokespeople in media situations and serve as stand-in for Vestas' global spokesperson establish a fact-based baseline for Vestas’ reputation in key markets develop media relations account plans Qualifications: min. 5 years' experience with people management communication professional, preferably with journalistic background superior communication skills, i.e. in writing, media handling, verbal presentation, crisis management, etc. advisory experience from serving the highest ranking professionals (executive level) whether in public or private office strong network among Renewables/Business media with proven track record of getting valuable exposure and optimal messaging ability to serve as Vestas´ spokesperson with strong interpersonal skills and ability to position Vestas in the public Competencies: good business acumen with strong analytical skills and creative problem solving skills profound interest in renewable energy and wind energy, with steep learning curve in order to quickly convey both technical, commercial and emotional messages to DK media and the public fluent/native UK language + preferably other fluent language thrives in an ever-changing environment strong sense of quality, also when things move fast great stakeholder management and relationship building skills ability to think and work across functions What we offer: Reporting directly to the CMO, we offer you the opportunity to take a leading role towards the media in one of the most covered companies in Denmark, providing challenges and learnings every day.
