FastTrack for Azure helps customers onboard to Azure, getting them on track to “build it right, architect it right, the first time” as they move from proof of concept to production and to scale.

FastTrack (FT) takes a solution-centric approach, providing customers with Microsoft Azure engineers, tools and best practices significantly increasing customer success with Azure. Our team is looking for you, a Principal Engineering Manager that brings great teamwork, cross functional (engineers + pm's) and high engergy leadership, positive attitude, and engineering execution to our customer-focus team chartered with enabling a world-class experience for Microsoft Azure cloud platform customers. This role is integral to overall operationalization of the customer onboarding experience and driving positive customer outcomes..

Responsibilities

•  Lead a high performing, cross functional, geographically dispersed throughout UK and Western Europe, diverse team of customer engineers and customer pm's.  Current org size is ~25 including managers.
• Recruit fantastic engineers and pm's who put customer outcomes first, collaborate authentically, and add to the diversity of the current org as it grows to 50+ including managers of managers.
• Own the running of the business via the PM Lead that will report to this postion and in partnership with the FastTrack Hub team, including nomination targets, execution against targets, strategies to accelerate customers moving to production (or their desired project end state)
• Work closely with FT engineers in addressing customer solution needs and driving success with their Azure deployments
• Maintain strong working relationships with stakeholders across engineering, sales, services
• Coach team and mentor others in planning, organizing and coordinating work.
• Evangelize and teach others to reach beyond existing solutions and technologies to incorporate new ideas.
• Create an inclusive work environment where a diverse set of employees feel empowered and come together to be more than the sum of their parts. 
• Identify opportunities where we can do better for our customers (process, tools, technology) to increase FT’s overall impact.

• Demonstrated skills and abilities to consistently create an amazingly positive experience for customers
• Track record of problem solving ranging from conceptualization to implementation 
• Real-world smart, logical and able to learn new areas quickly

Qualifications

–      10+ years of CUSTOMER FACING engineering and/or pm experience.  product management experience (in complement to, not instead of) a plus.

–      Demonstrated ability to lead, manage, build and deliver customer business results through an engineering or professional services team.  Including leading of orgs that includes managers (manager of managers a plus).

–      Ability to communicate effectively with corporate customers, possess an understanding of the onboarding process for Microsoft Azure.

–      Have excellent customer service skills, good oral and written communication skills, proven ability to handle difficult and sensitive situations involving the most critical and politically charged customer situations; to lead projects and teams to motivate others.

–      Deep technical proficiency in multiple cloud technologies.

–      Techincal Azure experience preferred.  Cloud experience, whether AWS, Google, or Azure required.
