Postdoc position with focus on Liposomal Systems for Positron Emission Tomography (PET) Imaging and their potential as Diagnostic and Theranostic Agents

A postdoc position is available within diagnostic PET imaging and drug delivery. We are seeking a postdoc for 2 years in a part time position (25 hours a week). The purpose of the position is to develop a liposomal system for clinical diagnostic PET imaging. The successful candidate will have a background in experimental nanomedicine and radiochemical handling. The position is part of the Center for Nanomedicine and Theranostics (http://www.nanomedicine.dtu.dk) and the Colloids and Biological Interface group at the Department of Micro and Nanotechnology – DTU Nanotech. Qualifications The project is focused on designing liposomal systems for clinical PET imaging. It is a necessity that the candidate has a strong background in liposome research and with substantial experience in developing PET contrast agents. In addition it is a must that the candidate has experience with regulatory requirements and appropriate documentation for using liposomal imaging probes in cancer patients. The candidate should preferentially also have experiences with radiolabeling procedures and GMP production. The applicants should hold a PhD degree in the relevant mentioned areas. All applicants should have a strong interest in working experimentally in a cross-disciplinary environment and have very good collaboration skills.
