Would you like to join Ramboll in developing its international environmental portfolio and become a key player in implementing our environmental projects on an international arena? Ramboll is looking to hire an experienced international water consultant to help us solve the challenging and exiting projects we are working on. The department is located in the Rambøll Head Office in Ørestad and is part of The Global Water Sector in Rambøll with more than 790 employees worldwide – of which approximately 200 are based in Denmark. We have a strong inter-company network and often work on tasks crossing professional competencies and functions. Furthermore, many projects are solved through joint cooperation between our offices in Denmark and abroad. Your responsibilities as International Water Consultant Your role as an international Water consultant will be to work with your colleagues in acquiring, implementing and managing projects on behalf of the above mentioned clients in many areas including sewer and drainage systems, water supply systems , integrated water resource management (IRM), river basin management, wastewater treatment, climate adaptation and flood protection management etc. Your involvement in projects in these sectors will primarily entail: • Preparation of mater plans and feasibility studies • Due diligence • Strategic planning • Tender document preparation and procurement (FIDIC) To some extent your involvement could also be within: • Site supervision (FIDIC) • Investment facility planning and development Furthermore, you will be expected to develop business and secure future work via liaising with clients and preparing Expressions of Interest and Detailed Technical and Financial Proposals. Your work will involve significant travel primarily to Eastern Europe, the Caucasus and Central Asia. You and your competencies You should have a master’s degree in Civil Engineering, hydraulic engineering, environmental science or equivalent with more than 7 years’ experience working on a range of multidisciplinary water related projects. International experience working for the above mentioned clients would be a considerable advantage. Our ideal candidate is a team player and offers: • Experience in managing projects • Proven experience from international projects in the water sector • Capacity to work in new areas – both technical and geographical • A proven communicator with ability to establish and foster close relations with clients • A proactive and energetic approach • Ability to develop new business and prepare tenders • A desire to work internationally and willingness to travel extensively • Experience with contract procedures in accordance with PRAG/ International Procurement Procedures • Experience on FIDIC rules • Experience in economic and financial analysis (cost-benefit/cost effectiveness analysis) will be an asset • Experience in projects financed by international funding agencies will be an asset (EU, WB) • Experience of Capacity Building activities will be an asset • Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a multi-national team • Fluency in English a necessity, fluency in Danish an advantage, any other languages such as French or Russian will be an asset Join the department for Urban Water and Climate Adaptation You will join a team of international consultants responsible for acquiring and managing projects within water sector in its broadest sense. We work in a multidisciplinary and multi-cultural environment with a high level of collaboration across divisions in the Ramboll Group. Our clients on one hand comprise of International Financial Institutions (IFIs) such as the European Commission (EC), European Bank for Reconstruction & Development (EBRD), Danida, Asian Development Bank (ADB) and the European Investment Bank (EIB).
