You are a highly motivated lab scientist interested in working with a variety of techniques towards understanding drug effects for helping patients with dermatological conditions, helping Sarah!

We are a newly formed department focusing on biologic drug modalities, supporting our discovery and development projects with scientific understanding of target biology. The position is a laboratory-based, 3 year postdoc working on our clinical stage assets to enable the full unravelling of their effects and to be able to target the right patients. Using relevant cellular systems, the position holder will set up experiments to generate data for further strengthening of mode of action (MoA) and patient segment understanding in some of our key projects.

About you

You hold a PhD in natural sciences and have a broad as well as deep knowledge working with a range of cellular models and methods. You are extremely skilled in a laboratory setting, have substantial experience with a human primary cell cultures, such as human primary keratinocytes, fibroblasts and immune cells. You thrive in the lab and have experience with a variety of methods including immunoassays, gene expression analysis, and possibly flow cytometry and cellular imaging. It would be an advantage if you have bioinformatics knowledge.
You have a sense of scientific accuracy, curiosity and eye for details. Preferably you have understanding of inflammatory processes and molecular events and possibly dermatological disease pathway understanding. 
Your overall direction will be planned in close dialogue with the principal scientist responsible for the MoA studies. The work will still be performed in collaboration with skilled colleagues in several departments in our skin research organization. You are expected to be planning and executing experiments independently, and performing evaluation and data analysis. In addition to working independently, you are also a good team player who enjoy working in a collaborative environment where we challenge and discuss science.

Advanced Biologics – your new department

Advanced Biologics consists of 3 scientists working in projects across the entire drug development chain from target selection to PoC and further on to MoA studies on late stage projects. We oversee collaboration with international partners on development of biologic. As a member of the department and skin research organization, you will participate in discussion of our other research projects and participate in our biomarker and PK/PD discussions. Our work is characterized by innovation, translation, global collaborations and patient centricity, and we are known for our great dedication and open and informal working atmosphere.
