Flexible retirement and ageing in Danish workplaces

A post-doc position is available in the Center for Work and Organizational Psychology, Department of Psychology at the University of Copenhagen. We are looking for a highly motivated, experienced and independent individual who will carry out, in collaboration with Associate Professor Paul Maurice Conway, a quali-quantitative longitudinal study on the individual and organizational drivers and barriers to the adoption of flexible retirement schemes among older employees in Danish workplaces.

The project is part of the 5-year (2019-2023) multi-disciplinary “CEHA - Copenhagen Centre for Healthy Ageing-III” project (https://healthyaging.ku.dk/). The expected starting date is as soon as possible in the second half of 2019. The position is available for three years.

Qualifications
The candidate is required to have:

• A PhD in a subject within the work and organizational psychology disciplinary area or a related area (e.g., public health applied to the working environment).
• Proven experience and independence in conducting research projects.
• Sound skills in quali/quantitative research methods, including experience in conducting qualitative interviews.
• Knowledge and application of structural equation modelling and multilevel analysis techniques.
• Knowledge and application of techniques for analysing qualitative data.
• Good social and collaborative skills.

Fluency in Danish is required, as the post-holder will be conducting interviews with employees as part of the data collection.

Job abstractJV_description
The post-holder must be able to independently develop and take full responsibility in conducting all the phases of the “Flexible retirement and ageing in Danish workplaces” study. This include reviewing the relevant literature, developing a theoretical model, designing the study, sampling, recruiting participants, collecting and analyzing the data, writing scientific articles, and conducting scientific and public dissemination activities.

Salary and conditions of employment
Terms of appointment and salary will be in accordance with an agreement between the Ministry of Finance and The Danish Confederation of Professional Associations (AC). The annual salary for postdoctoral researchers is within the range DKK 403.200 – 424.500 (about EUR 54,000 – 57,000). In addition to the salary paid directly to you, the University will also pay a monthly contribution to your pension fund corresponding to 17.1 % of your salary. Negotiation for additional supplements will be possible.
