Want to set your mark in our machine learning team?

This is a great opportunity to join a newly established applied machine learning team. The team is responsible for the development and operations of our critical vision, language and analytical machine learning based solutions. We are focused on the practical application of machine learning techniques to deliver product features and solve operational challenges. In collaboration with our cutting edge radar and vision based tracking technology, we are building products used by some of the best athletes in the world.

Our team are building machine learning workflows, designing the overall technology solution from data acquisition and readiness, model and technique selection, training and testing through to deployment and day to day operations.  Example projects we are working on:

• Identifying athletes in real time using a combination of video and game data inputs
• Recognizing key gestures to classify player techniques and determine umpire or referee decisions
• Determine confidence intervals across a variety of possible play out comes where there is ambiguity

 

Are you our new colleague?

You have hands on experience setting up and running machine learning workflows in local and cloud environments. Your focus is on the practical outcome and value of the machine learning approach and this informs your model selection and evaluation process. You are comfortable moving between a variety of techniques and in particular have experience with vision processing. 

Additionally, you have experience working closely with product owners using agile methodologies to capture expectations and designing solutions to meet their needs. 

Requirements

• A technical education in computer science, machine learning or related engineering field
• Experience with principles of machine learning methods to inform ability to select and move across a variety of techniques as needed, experience with deep learning frameworks
• Experience planning, deploying and operating production machine learning models to cloud and edge locations
• Experience with computer vision 
• Experience programming in Python
