Clinical Supplies Supply Chain Planning (CS SCP) is a key member of Research and Development and is vital in bringing new drugs to market. In CS SCP, we have a unique understanding of the combination of drug development and supply chain management. Our main and most important task is to ensure that trial products are available on time and in the right quality and quantity for all clinical trials conducted by Novo Nordisk.

The position
Novo Nordisk relies on a number of vendors in the execution of our clinical trial. As Outsourcing Professional, you will be responsible for commercial matters related to existing vendors and supplier search, negotiation and contracting with new vendors ensuring the right focus with respect to quality, delivery, cost and environmental and social risks.

You will be responsible for the commercial performance of the suppliers and ensure the appropriate level of supplier relationship management in collaboration with your internal customers. You will secure that your spend categories are well functioning and you will deliver on strategy development and execution. You will work in close collaboration with our outsourcing associate.

Qualifications
You hold a degree as M.Sc. or MBA in Supply Chain Management, Finance, Business or similar. You have been working with strategic sourcing for more than 5 years. You have a commercial mind-set and an ability to quickly understand different business models and industry dynamics. You could have experience from making sourcing strategies that set the direction and guide actions and priorities in the daily work. Additionally, you are an experienced negotiator with an eye on the ball and an ambition of creating maximum value in the relationship. Your analytical skills are strong, and you have a solid understanding of numbers.

As a person, you are able to impact decision-making through clear recommendations, always founded on solid data and analysis. Since the job requires you to create a broad range of trustful relations across and beyond Novo Nordisk, we expect you to be an outgoing person with a strong personal drive and dedication with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Additionally, you thrive in a busy environment and bring a ‘can-do attitude’ and a healthy sense of humour to your work also when the pressure is on. Lastly, you are fluent in both verbal and written English.
