Network Engineer, Vestas Wind Systems A/S, Global IT - Aarhus, Denmark. Vestas Global IT, Communication Services. Vestas Global IT, Communication Services is a specialized department, supporting Vestas Global infrastructure. You will join a team of 17 Professionals based around the globe, with the responsibility of operating and continuously developing Vestas’ complex IT-infrastructure to ensure the stability and usability of business critical services around the world. We design and deliver network infrastructure to around 300 Corporate sites, ranging from Datacenters and Headquarters to small offices in 65 countries. We also operate network for around 1600 Windparks that deliver vital data to our Supercomputer for forecasting and customerrelated purposes. We are a dedicated team, and take pride in the service that we deliver but always work to improve it. Responsibilities: As part of this team, your main responsibility is to ensure Vestas can continue to be a frontrunner by enabling the business with the best possible infrastructure to support the needs from the CEO to the production line in a factory. Your key responsibilities will be: Administration, Operation and support of Vestas’ global IT infrastructure, with specific focus on the wireless installation based on Cisco reference design 2nd and 3rd level troubleshooting/support Be a part of a global team of highly skilled professionals Support the operations of a global Enterprise network servicing 16000 users Design and implement solutions as a subject matter expert Be a part of a 24/7 on call team (average 1-2 calls a week) Qualifications: Your educational background can be Engineer or similar and you should have 3-5 years of experience preferably with CISCO wireless solution setup in a large-scale Enterprise Company. Competencies: You should have knowledge/experience within several of the below areas: CCNP or equivalent level of experience Knowledge of Cisco Wireless solution Wireless Lan Controllers NCS/Prime Autonomous AP Knowledge about Cisco IBNS (Identity based Networking Services) Good understanding of ITIL processes Knowledge on general Network technologies Routing (protocols) Switching Quality of Service WAN acceleration Content scanning Besides Cisco, we use the following technologies, any knowledge of them is a plus: Riverbed/Steelhead Tandberg/Telepresence Hirschman SCADA SPLUNK You should be highly analytical and have good documentation skills.
