About the department
We are approximately 30 employees in the R&D department consisting of principal scientists, research scientists and laboratory technicians. You will become lab technician in the Manufacturing Development team which consists of 5 dedicated and talented employees. The core expertise of the team lies in technology transfer of new products from laboratory to large scale production. Furthermore, drive cross-organisational and complex optimisation opportunities in NNPR by optimising existing processes and analytical methods. We work in close collaboration with our scientific colleagues at Novo Nordisk to develop optimal purification solutions for new and existing medicines to improve our patient’s lives. The atmosphere is relaxed and creative, and we always strive to improve the way we do things.
The job
As an experienced technician your key responsibilities will be development of analytical methods for characterisation by various spectrometric technologies including in-process monitoring techniques. You will carry out daily planning of your work, perform analysis and evaluate result. You will record and report your scientific work and share your learnings with the team, project teams and other colleagues. You will work closely together with an area specialist within the team.
Qualifications
Educated as a laboratory technician (laborant), ideally with some years’ experience with HPLC or UPLC and other spectrometric methods. Preferably you have knowledge and experience within protein chemistry and analytical development. You are a strong team player with a good understanding of the chemical sciences. You have good attention to detail and are conscious of working safety in the lab. You are dynamic, flexible and able to cope with change, dedicated to ‘making a difference’ and ready to ‘go the extra mile’ when faced with challenges.
