The Electronic Foreign Exchange Team is the spear head of Nordea Markets when it comes to implementing new technologies and driving the business forward. As a result, the team is gaining more responsibilities and we are therefore looking to expand with a new member to the e-Trading Infrastructure team. The new team member will be responsible for managing and evolving our e-Trading platform. Securing high stability and low latency performance on the platform will be your top priorities. The position we offer The role contains a mix of working with IT vendors, low-level technical work and developing the business by exploiting our IT capabilities. You will work with key stakeholders in the trading and IT organization and have the opportunity to make a big difference and drive the business forward. As the team is situated on the trading floor, you will be working in a hectic atmosphere but also a very rewarding and exciting environment. We do not expect you to know FX products or the theory behind them so this position will also be a great opportunity for you to learn. The space we work in is driven by low latency and we measure delays in milliseconds and even microseconds. Therefore we have a lot of rewarding challenges in doing optimization and tuning of our platform. You will work with sophisticated technologies that only a few other companies in Scandinavia utilize. The qualifications you need We love both finance and technology and so should you! The ideal candidate has a technical background. Your educational background probably covers a Bachelor, Candidate or Diploma in IT. You have recently graduated or have a few years’ working experience. While studying you were in the top tier. You are hard working, committed and dedicated to always deliver high quality at speed. You are equally able to work individually as well as contributing to a team. You must have experience in some of the following technologies or tools: - Network protocols (e.g. TCP) and tools (e.g. Wireshark, Corvil) - Firewall, router or switch configuration - Server setup and performance optimization - Server hardware - Oracle SQL - Database administration - Scripting on Solaris, Linux and Windows English is our working language, so you must be fluent in written and spoken English.
