Continuous improvement of our Internal Controls over Financial Reporting (ICFR) framework to drive effectiveness and efficiency in our processes and controls.

 

Your key responsibilities will be:

• Develop and continuously improve the ICFR framework 
• Develop and improve policies, manuals, guidelines and the ICFR management system
• Monitor and evaluate ICFR performance to ensure that it is functioning as planned and updated as necessary to meet changing risks in operating conditions
• Develop the annual ICFR plan, using an appropriate risk-based methodology, including any risks or control concerns over the achievement of financial reporting objectives identified by management
• Execute the annual ICFR plan, including any management requests for special tasks or projects
• Periodically prepare and report the status of the ICFR plan status and results to the Audit Committee and management, summarising the ICFR status and results of reviews, consulting and monitoring activities
• Develop and maintain technical ICFR advice and instructions/guidance by staying abreast of emerging trends and successful practices in ICFR.
• Work with line management to constructively challenge and improve established and proposed practices and processes, and foster a culture of co-developing agreed solutions with key stakeholders in LEO affiliates
• Provide training and advisory support to line of business relating to the ICFR framework
• Participation in Group projects to ensure focus on development of the ICFR environment
• Coordinate and align ICFR activities with those of the company’s independent public accountants and partner with other Finance functions

 Your qualifications

You have a degree in business administration or finance and a solid experience with internal financial control environment, preferably with a minimum of 5 years relevant experience in accounting, financial reporting/ controlling governance, risk management or auditing with an international organization. You have strong knowledge of concepts related to internal controls. It is an advantage if you have experience with internal control frameworks or tools, concepts and methodology, internal or external audit. 
You are action oriented and proactive with a drive for execution. Entering a global organization also requires an open mind including the ability to create a constructive dialogue and collaboration across cultural, professional and geographical borders, in English. To succeed you must have excellent organizational skills and a positive attitude without losing eye for detail.
