For our Process Engineering department we are looking for an Industrial PhD to optimize the present molding process of the wind turbine blades. The purpose of the PhD project is identification/development of sensors for process monitoring. A part of the optimization includes design of suitable sensors, laboratory scale casting and utilization of sensors. The project is in cooperation with Professor, Henrik Madsen from DTU Compute. What are my responsibilities? ? Identification of one or a few sensor concepts and test at laboratory scale ? Establish an experimental design that both addresses the robustness and accuracy of the sensors that finally will be used for the strategy for multi infusion of the blades ? Research and evaluation of state of the art sensors ? Process modeling ? Utilization of sensor technology into the molding process ? Design of multivariable control systems ? Modeling of mechanical systems ? Modeling of stochastic processes ? Fault detection ? Dataanalysis and statistical modelling What do I need to qualify for this job? ? You hold a Masters Degree in Engineering ? You have experience with process control and closed loop control ? You are both theoretical and practical as well as structured and critical ? You have a creative mindset and are able to think out of the box ? As a person you are outgoing and have great communication skills ? Furthermore, you are fluent in English both orally and in writing In case you have acquired your skills in alternative ways your application is just as well appreciated. What else do I need to know?
