For our EMEA (Europe, Middle East & Africa) office in Brande, Denmark we are looking for a bright Structural Design Engineer to further enrich our Nacelle Analysis Team in Technology. The Nacelle Analysis Team which consists of highly dedicated and skilled mechanical and structural engineers is responsible for the structural and mechanical design of nacelles. The components and systems included are: yaw systems, bed frames, tower top flanges, canopies, rear end structures and platforms as well as stairs and ladders. What are my responsibilities? As a Structural Design Engineer you will be working with advanced FEA (Finite Element Analysis) of the nacelle structures. You will be working on R&D tasks, and your stakeholders will be the departments CAD designers, Generator, Tower, Loads and Control and Test as well as the Project Organization. Your assignments will include the following: · Advanced FEA. · Steel and cast iron components. · Loads and validation of nacelle structures. · Certifications. · Field data. · Structural integrity of nacelles. · NCR handling. What do I need to qualify for this job? · You hold a Master’s or a PhD degree in Structural or Mechanical Engineering and have experience with FEA. · You possess high analytical skills together with a practical understanding of how to make turbine validations by comparing field data with theoretical results. · As a person you are outgoing and proactive, and you possess the ability to work both independently and in teams. In addition, you are structured and innovative, and your approach to task solving is both technically sound and commercially viable. · You have good communication and English skills, both orally and in writing. In case you have acquired your skills in alternative ways your application is just as well appreciated. What else do I need to know?
