We are looking for an experienced people manager to take on a strategic role in building our future ways of working.

As Head of IT Retail Solutions, you lead and support your teams further along the agile path while ensuring that you understand, anticipate and meet the needs of BESTSELLER's retail business.

Heading an agile organisation of distributed teams

Reporting directly to the Head of IT and with a seat in the IT Management team, you will take over the newly established role of Head of IT Retail Solutions, which is one out of six IT business areas in our agile setup.

You will be the immediate manager of a team of over 20 colleagues in three autonomous SCRUM teams distributed across five different locations in Denmark, Spain, Belgium and the Netherlands. The teams have end-to-end responsibility for each their products and solutions, covering:

• Our new retail platform based on Microsoft Dynamics 356, which is still in the development stage
• Our existing retail platform, which we continue to develop and maintain
• New in-store and omnichannel solutions to enhance the customer experience.

Leading teams to deliver business outcomes

You become accountable for the overall IT strategy, objectives, key results, budgets and measures within BESTSELLER's retail business. You collaborate with a complex network of internal stakeholders in BESTSELLER IT as well as across our brands and markets. By continually consulting with the business and digging deep into your significant retail knowledge, you ensure that your organisational unit anticipates and delivers on the needs of our retail business.

More specifically, your tasks include:

• Ongoing dialogue and cooperation with key stakeholders
• Leading your team with a clear vision and ensuring a high level of employee satisfaction
• Optimising agile delivery methods across your teams
• Responsibility for the development and implementation of the new retail platform, including maintaining the ongoing dialogue with Microsoft at the executive level
• Ensuring the continued stable operations of the existing retail platform
• Driving BESTSELLER forward when it comes to in-store and omnichannel solutions in close collaboration with the brands' omnichannel teams
• Developing your teams and team members to become even better.

Qualifications

• +5 years of experience managing diverse and distributed teams in a large, international organisation
• Ability to work on a strategic, tactical and operational level with your own organisational unit to ensure that you meet the set strategies
• In-depth understanding of retail, enabling you to understand, anticipate and meet their solution needs
• Significant experience with change management and complex stakeholder management
• Significant experience working with agile methods such as SCRUM, SAFE, SCRUM of SCRUMS, Kanban and Less
• Graduated with a relevant degree at Master's level or higher is preferred, but targeted management training and significant practical experience is an alternative
• Fluent in written and spoken English.

You are a strong communicator and a compelling storyteller with the ability to communicate concepts and ideas to engineers and non-engineers alike. With your participatory behaviour, you create a robust department of people rated as best within your field.

You can take the lead in organisational changes and set motion to strategic direction by creating insight, understanding and acceptance of your department's priorities, capacity and choice of solutions. You are a strong diplomat with the ability to navigate among the top leaders in the organisation, and you possess the right amount of authority and a professional credibility, enabling you to build and earn a position, where your colleagues respect you as top leader.
