In Global Development, we are responsible for managing clinical drug development worldwide from early development phases to product introduction. We ensure medical and scientific documentation for clinical submissions and authorities while ensuring that the process lives up to uniform global standards, regulations and business ethics. About the department ClinOps 4 is one out of four departments in Clinical Operations, Insulin & Diabetes Outcomes responsible for driving the trial programme for IDegLira, the first approved basal insulin and GLP-1 analogue combination in a once daily single injection. It is a team of experienced and enthusiastic International Trial Managers, Clinical Trial Administrators and a Clinical Project Manager who are planning and conducting clinical trials within the diabetes area in close collaboration with Novo Nordisk affiliates all over the world. The job As Head of Department you will gain valuable experience and strengthen your managerial skills. You will lead a team of 14 highly qualified employees and become a member of the Global Project Team. An important part of your job will be to manage relationships with key collaborators, including Novo Nordisk affiliates. It is essential that you are a natural leader, and can motivate others to deliver high quality results for global clinical trials within strict deadlines. You will report to the Vice President of Clinical Operations, Insulin & Diabetes Outcomes and become a member of the area’s management team and collaborate closely with the other managers in the area. You will take an active part in developing the area as well as have an important role in various improvement projects, including process optimisation and training. Qualifications You are a skilled line or project manager with solid experience in the conduct of clinical trials from a headquarter perspective within the pharmaceutical industry. You currently hold a similar managerial position or have several years of experiences as project manager for global clinical trial programmes. You hold an academic degree, preferably at master level, within natural sciences or healthcare. You are a clear communicator, set-direction and can inspire and motivate your employees to deliver their best in a dynamic environment. You are detail oriented and can successfully plan for both long- and short-term tasks, while simultaneously managing strict project deadlines and your own workload.
