Novo Nordisk is looking for a Group Insurance Manager. This is a unique opportunity to become responsible for our global insurance programmes and to drive further capability development within the area. Our insurance programmes are some of the largest within the global pharma industry.
About the department
Corporate Treasury is a Corporate Vice President area and globally responsible for managing Novo Nordisk’s financial risks. We are divided in 3 departments. Financial Risk Management responsible for handling financial risks at Group level. Cash Management responsible for handling financial risks in affiliates, business areas and regions. Insurance & Risk Management responsible for leading Novo Nordisk’s global enterprise risk management process and for handling the insurance strategy and global insurance programmes.
You will join the Insurance & Risk Management department, a team of five dedicated and highly skilled colleagues located in our headquarters in Copenhagen (Bagsvaerd).
The position
As Group Insurance Manager, you will be responsible for executing Novo Nordisk’s global insurance strategy, developing and negotiating the best possible global insurance programmes and optimising insurance coverages in line with Novo Nordisk’s overall risk management philosophy. Furthermore, you will be responsible for claims negotiations with insurance companies and ongoing management related to insurances.
You will be Novo Nordisk’s main expert within insurance related matters and it is expected that you are able to proactively engage with internal and external stakeholders and drive further development of insurance risk management strategy and solutions to senior stakeholders in Novo Nordisk.
Qualifications
You hold a MSc in Economics, Finance, Law, Business Administration and Commercial Laws or similar. You have at least 7 years experience with multinational insurance programmes which could be from an international company, insurance company or insurance broker.
As a person you have strong analytical skills, a high level of drive and stakeholder management skills and you are a strong communicator, who is able to make complexities easy to understand. Furthermore you excel in written and spoken English and Danish.
