Would you like to take up a brand-new global role where you help shape the way we manage consumer research from a global perspective?

As global research manager, you will help build our network of external market research agencies and support the business with quantitative consumer research across Arla markets, categories and brands.

“As part of Marketing Excellence, you will join 10 Insight Managers in the Consumer and Market Insights team. Acting as the voice of the consumer, we provide valuable insights on consumers, our brands and categories to our brand and marketing teams across the world. As this is a new role, you will help establish how we deliver agile and high-quality in-house market research across markets and brands,” says Michael Jensen, Head of Consumer and Market Insight, Marketing Excellence.

About the job

You will be located at our HQ in Viby, Denmark, together with 4 team colleagues, while the remaining insight managers are located at our regional and local offices around the world. From your central position, you support insight managers with quantitative, survey-based research that responds to specific business demands related to consumer perception, attitude, usage and motivation.

You will be responsible for prioritising, designing and executing in-house research projects within defined deadlines and budgets as well as building our external analysis supplier network. Doing so, you will:

• Align research setup with insight managers to ensure that it meets defined research objectives and brings business value to the relevant brand or category team
• Coordinate and execute in-house custom research, including design of questionnaires for fielding, fielding with proper quotas, data management and analysis
• Prepare and deliver reports on conclusions and recommendations from research projects and present findings to brand and category teams in collaboration with the insight managers
• Manage our global supplier setup for in-house research projects, including identifying our needs and suppliers and driving continuous agency management
• Track research spend and optimise value of investment in in-house custom research
• Evaluate in-house research projects and secure continuous improvement of methods and research protocols

Who are you?

You thrive in an independent role where you get to dive into data while driving multiple projects at a time. You have solid communication skills, and you know how to present your findings in a short, concise and credible manner, just as you know how to establish yourself as a trusted business partner.

Moreover, we imagine that you have:

• A degree within marketing or business
• Experience with consumer research and a thorough analytical and methodological understanding, perhaps from a similar role as a research manager or a research consultant
  • Technical skills within survey tools and statistical analysis software (e.g. SPSS)
  • Excellent English skills in speech and writing
