Then have a closer look at this unique opportunity as Global Key Account Program Manager and become part of a new Commercial Strategy and Development department within Vestas. New Commercial Strategy & Development department Commercial Strategy and Development is a new department reporting directly to the Chief Sales Officer (CSO). The new department will work in an intimate relationship with Global Sales on commercial matters such as sales pipeline and portfolio planning, CRM, key account management and pricing. The Commercial Strategy and Development department is a central function that supports the CSO in managing the global business portfolio. The team will facilitate sales pipeline and portfolio planning as well as the annual commercial strategy process. In addition, the department will act as program office for strategic initiatives within the global sales organization, e.g. key account management and pricing. The team will work closely together with stakeholders in other central functions such as Global Sales, Construction, Supply Chain Planning, Service and Finance – and not least the regional business units (SBUs) in Europe, Americas and Asia-Pacific. Regional SBUs have full profit & loss responsibility and are therefore accountable for turnover and profitability, while global functions focus on deploying best practice, efficiency and performance across regions. Responsibilities The position reports to the Head of Commercial Strategy and Development. Your main responsibility is to take leadership for and strengthen Vestas’ key account management program. You will support the line of business and executive management in generating a significant part of Vestas’ business with leading and international energy players. Main responsibilities are to: Support Vestas’ line of business realizing their ambitious targets for key accounts and in particular strengthen Vestas’ position with top 20 wind energy players on a global level Establish a global team of account management experts working across regional business units Develop the community of highly skilled and business-oriented account managers accountable for top 100 Vestas accounts Work closely together with Global Sales, Product Management and Global Marketing to ensure that Vestas’ product and service offerings are positioned towards strategic, key and large accounts Coordinate annual key account management cycle; hereunder gather and analyze account insights and based on this ensure selection of accounts, allocation of account managers and executive sponsors, account target setting, and development of account plans Ensure an increase in key account management skill level of sales professionals through casework and training sessions Qualifications Master level degree from business school or university 3-5 years of experience from a top tier consulting firm and/or experience from a large international company Experience with key account program management is an advantage Competencies The ideal candidate is: A team player and high performing individual. Highly analytical with a holistic approach and has strong problem solving skills. Pragmatic and goal-oriented – but without losing attention to the right details. Structured and action-oriented and delivers within deadlines. Navigating based on business acumen. Confident with ability to build strong relationship and clearly communicate within a matrix set-up.
