Electrical Engineering Manager for onshore and offshore substations

Would you like to ensure quality, efficiency and continued development within wind power in Denmark and abroad? Join us as soon as possible and become our new Electrical Engineering Manager in the department Substation Electrical Management. Together with 15 committed colleagues, you will manage the integration of MV/HV components and SCADA into the substations’ structural and civil work. You will act as a single point of contact and be the technical coordinator handling interfaces between LV systems, MV/HV components and SCADA systems. Substation Electrical Management is part of Wind Power, a large business unit with 1300 employees. You will be joining a group of more than 300 engineers working with more than 10 large-scale offshore wind projects in Denmark, the United Kingdom, Germany and France. We are the world leader in offshore wind power and have exceptional competences within all fields of offshore wind technology. Furthermore, we have an ambitious strategy about further international growth for the coming years. You may choose freely to be based either at our office in Skærbæk near Fredericia or in Gentofte. However, you should expect some travelling to our sites in Denmark and abroad in connection with your work. Areas of responsibility You will be a member of our committed team of electrical engineering managers working with electrical and mechanical installations on our substations, where you will coordinate tasks between projects participants and suppliers within the electrical and utility field and be responsible for the integration of MV/HV/SCADA equipment. In addition, you will be responsible for the electrical scope in connection with engineering of, fabrication of, construction of and civil contracts for our offshore and onshore substations. Furthermore, you will follow up on projects and prepare tender documents and contract agreements. In cooperation with external advisers and in-house cross-organisational stakeholders, you and your colleagues will also be responsible for specifying and designing LV & utility installations, such as switchboards, diesel generator sets, UPS systems and DC systems as well as safety and mechanical installations. You will follow up on quality and deliveries during fabrication/construction of substations. Moreover, you will support design of mechanical, communications and safety systems. You will manage quality assurance and HSE, perform risk assessments and identify and perform risk mitigation actions. You will also collaborate and ensure an efficient working relationship with our civil and structural engineering management teams and the colleagues responsible for supply of MV/HV components. Furthermore, your key duties will be to: be responsible for the electrical design and LV layout within the substation scope, including the certification of the electrical, utility and mechanical systems be responsible for input and collection of technical requirements for our engineering, fabrication and construction contractors participate in project team meetings and cross-discipline cooperation, support supervision and commissioning activities as well as handover to O&M participate in development tasks and lessons learnt sessions within the electrical and utility field. Your profile You will hold an education as a Bachelor or a Master of Science in Engineering specialised within the electrical power field (LV, MV, HV installations and SCADA) and have experience in working with utility installations on both offshore and onshore substations. It will be important that you have project coordination skills and excellent communication skills to ensure a professional relationship with your stakeholders.
