Manufacturing/Global Sourcing/Mechanicals & Weldments /Forgings, Welded Structures & Blade Bearings. In Global Sourcing we lead and co-ordinate the Strategic Sourcing in cross-functional Category Teams consisting of key stakeholders from Group Quality, Product Engineering, Technology & Service Solutions, and Factory Logistics. The department’s key responsibilities are to: Develop, communicate and implement global Category Strategies and Plans Supplier selection and development Manage Purchase Agreements with suppliers Support new product development and drive cost out activities targeting BOM cost reductions Improve agility of supply chain to support cash flow, Make-to-Order and general flexibility. We are looking for an experienced Category Manager, who mainly will work within area of Welded Structures and Transportation Equipment. With an aggregate spend of 60 Million. € and +50 suppliers the department, Welded Structures and Transportation Equipment, has a sizeable impact on our operation cost and through participation in key programs such as Accelerated Earnings we are looking to increase the significance of our contribution to the company's profit margin by extending our cost out pipeline and ensuring swift executing of existing projects . Participation in cross-functional quality and development work is imperative as is development and implementation of logistic systems to support factories globally. Responsibilities: You will work within the category management team concept and implement the overall strategic sourcing goals of the business. Your main responsibilities will be to: Develop the supply base with a view to always be able to satisfy requirements (KPIs) . Ensure safety, quality, delivery and cost and thereby contribute actively to improve the competitive strength of the company. Coordinate and Lead the Category team with a Vestas holistic view, in order to secure category is at the forefront of the development Create and maintain category strategy within own category, and secure it is aligned with overall Purchasing-strategy Establish total cost reduction programs are implemented with strategic suppliers. Negotiate Purchase Agreement that includes terms and conditions. Manage the negotiation process for the category and deliver total cost of ownership supporting profitability Manage the development and implementation of the category supply base that supports business strategies Build supply market intelligence and ensure that supply base data is available to support business decisions Improve and balance commercial aspects (price and volume) and technical capabilities to enable the optimization of the business on both short and long term. Develop and maintain all relevant internal relations to stakeholders Qualifications: The ideal candidate either holds a relevant Engineering degree with commercial experience, or Business degree with a high level of technical experience. Minimum 5 years of experience in Strategic Global Sourcing and/or category management expertise. Competencies: Strong in stakeholder management and ability to cooperate with stakeholders on all levels in the organization. Good understanding of the value chain Strategic sourcing and good WS knowledge from a global perspective Financial understanding and good IT knowledge Strong commercial legal term knowledge related to purchase agreements International material costing experience Proven Strong international negotiation skills that can utilized all data to achieve cost saving results Interpersonal skills and highly development business oriented mindset Structured, systematic and good understanding of business processes – ERP system knowledge Good communication and presentation skil
