The Procurement department within our global wind power organization located in Brande, Denmark, is expanding its sourcing activities within the area of strategic procurement. We are therefore looking for a Buyer/Senior Buyer who is willing to contribute to our growing business.  

As a Buyer/Senior Buyer you will be responsible for the implementation of our sourcing strategy within the area of Steel Parts and Fasteners. Your responsibility will cover the implementation of a global supplier data base, analysis of the existing commodity structure and driving the application of advanced awarding concepts in the yearly price negotiations. This also includes the establishment and maintenance of relationships with various existing or potential suppliers. 

What are my responsibilities?

· Implementing commodity strategies to ensure long-term, cost-efficient supply of materials

· Conducting price and contract negotiations with contract conclusion to guarantee the security of supplies at the best possible conditions.

· Define concepts for risk and contract management to minimize risk and warranty costs through product life cycle

· Define and implement advanced negotiation concepts and strategies

· Preparing, conducting and assisting the Commodity Manager in negotiations for Purchasing Volumes to obtain the highest feasible savings

· Analyzing and controlling the contractual agreements in order to prepare renegotiations / subsequent negotiations, initiate appropriate measures and guarantee supplies

· Establishing cost control and cost transparency in the defined area of responsibility

· Leading the cross-functional Commodity Team to achieve optimum results in terms of total cost of ownership through collaborative and planned activities

· In case that Non Conformances caused by the suppliers within the area of responsibility result in damages to Siemens, you will manage and negotiate claims to minimize Siemens´ exposure to such Non Conformances

· Producing price forecasts and internal figures to supply basic data for the purpose of controlling and reporting

· Maintain regular contacts with interface partners to recognize developments (in market, demand, etc.) and exert influence accordingly

· Performing global supplier market scans with focus on identifying new suppliers and technologies 

What do I need to qualify for this job?

· You have a Bachelor’s degree (Business Administration or Engineering) and 1-3 years of professional experience in a global environment within the areas of strategic procurement or supply chain management

· You are an experienced negotiator with a proven track record and strong strategic and analytic skills

· You have a systematic and structured approach to your assignments

· You are outgoing, proactive and persuasive with a result-oriented, structured approach to complex tasks

· Also, you are a skilled communicator and a dedicated team player while still being capable of working independently, and you thrive in an inter-cultural environment

· Additionally, you possess excellent English skills both orally and in writing and you are an advanced user of MS Office (Excel)
