Business Development Manager, Specialty Chemicals and Biocatalysis, Bagsvaerd
We are looking for an energetic and dedicated Business Development Manager, who is experienced, yet still curious to learn!
You will have a key role in driving our commercial efforts in a strategic industry for Novozymes, being part of a strong and versatile international team, within Novozymes’ Incubations and Acquisitions area, which is responsible for supporting new growth platforms for Novozymes.
You will have a wide range of responsibilities, such as, managing customer relationships effectively, driving distributors to address new market opportunities, developing new markets and applications for our products and identifying new business opportunities.
Thus, your ability to translate customer’s needs into business opportunities will play a central role in our success.
The position will be based in Denmark and you will report to the Global Head of Biocatalysis.
In this position you need:
- 5-7 years of experience in B2B technical sales, account management, as well as business development;
- Exposure to Pharma and/or Specialty or Fine chemicals industries is a nice add on;
- A technical background in Science or Engineering (M.Sc. in Chemistry, Biotechnology or related areas) with a relevant Master’s degree and/or MBA.
- Have a proven track record in creating customer partnerships and in managing projects to deliver impact
- Experience in handling customer negotiations, as well as, pricing discussions, supply agreements and distribution channels;
- Dynamic and self-driven profile with strong networking building skills and capability for independent decision making, being able to lead without being a direct leader;
- Fluency in English and availability for domestic and international travels.
