About the position

For our Offshore Sales & Projects Engineering PMO department are we looking for a highly skilled and experienced Business Analyst. You will be supporting Engineering with expert interpretation and presentation of engineering data and end-to-end understanding of processes to turn data into critical information and knowledge that can be used to make sound business decisions.

Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy is operating in several locations, covering most of the technical areas in the wind turbine. You will be working in Vejle, where you will be supporting all the global S&PR Engineering locations.

Your main tasks will be providing accurate, congruent, reliable and easily accessible data and supporting the Management Team and PMO with expert advices. The providing data will help the business teams drive improvement in key business metrics, customer experience and business results. Moreover, to provide the bridge between data, business, and engineering to ensure the information presented are easily understandable and with a clear interpretation.

What are my responsibilities?

  • Define relevant business metrics and data sources
  • End-to-end responsibility over gathering, creating and maintaining KPIs and metrics
  • Provide and convert accurate Engineering data to improve business decisions
  • Support users to transform data into action-oriented information and to use that information correctly
  • Convey engaging and relevant stories in different media through presentations and infographics
  • Provide input to the development of data/information quality metrics

What do I need to qualify for this job? 

  • Master´s degree or equivalent in Information Systems, Business Management, Business Intelligence, Engineering or related fields
  • 5+ years of experience as Business Analyst where engineering environment is an advantage 
  • Common sense boosted by advanced skills in data analysis and data mining
  • Ownership attitude with sense of humor
  • Strong analytical mindset, communication and collaboration skills
  • Hands-on experience on working with Business Intelligence (Tableau or Power BI is advantage)
  • Fluent business English both orally and in writing
