You will be part of the department Solution Engineering in Bjerringbro, Denmark. We are the unit all the Grundfos sales companies turn to for pump system and treatment solutions within water and wastewater. The team consists of 12 dedicated engineers as well as a large network of factory specialists and sub-suppliers around the world. You refer to Director of Solution Engineering, Christian Jensen. ”We are a team of 8 different nationalities,and we have managed to create an amazing environment, which we are very proud of. Essentially, it consists of great teamwork between junior and senior engineers, which generates sparring and sharing of knowledge. We create ambitions as we work with our partners and customers on big projects, so innovation is very important to us,” explains Christian. Hvad drejer jobbet sig om? As our new Application Manager, your primary responsibility will be to propose the optimal technical solutions in close cooperation with our 55 global sales companies. Moreover, you provide solutions and offers for projects, and sometimes, you will work directly with a global customer in order to find just the right solution for a project. In doing so, you combine your commercial understanding with your in-depth pump knowledge in order to design solutions, matching the customer’s expectations and budget. Working on both small and large projects, you will be challenged on your technical skills as well as your ability to communicate technical matters to non-technical stakeholders. You are part of selling a project to a customer and in the end, you and the team are the ones to determine whether or not a project has the possibility to succeed based on our technical capabilities. Finally, as you will function as an expert on pumps and pump solutions, you will be trained in Grundfos’ product range and have the opportunity to build a strong network of product specialists. ”Your challenge will be to know our pump and treatment systems and handle different projects simultaneously. But we will make sure you get the proper training to gain success in your position,” says Christian. Hvad skal der til for at ansøge? You are a Mechanical Engineer or similar with solid experience from the pump industry or water industry, where you have worked with designing pumping solutions to the municipal water industry. Furthermore, it is an advantage if you have worked with applications within water treatment. You speak and write English fluently. ”As a person you thrive in a specialist role and you are motivated by delivering optimal technical solutions that add significant value to both the customer and to Grundfos. You have an international outlook and value close cooperation with your colleagues. And finally, you are driven by communication and understanding how to use your technical knowledge to deliver professional and qualified technical assistance,” finishes Christian.
