The QSE Engineering Center is seeking a QSE Engineering Specialist to be located in Aarhus Denmark. The Department is a part of the Global QSE organisation in Vestas. The main task of the QSE Engineering Center is to support Vestas Technology & Service Solutions in the area of Health, Safety and Environment in the design of wind turbines. As the new QSE specialist in the department your main task is to ensure that the production basis for the turbine handed over to manufacturing, covers health safety and environment. You will support the designers and productions Engineers in interpreting the requirements into the design and evaluate the solutions up against these requirements focusing on the manufacturing process. Furthermore you will guide the local QSE in manufacturing to tailor the production basis into local conditions. You will be involved in development of process, guidelines and tools promoting HSE in design as well as supporting Technology & Service Solutions in operational HSE. To be successful you would need to have knowledge of legal requirements and standards related to design and operation within Health, Safety and Environment as a minimum at an EU level but US and China also preferred. You will have to be able to dig into details and challenge the design to ensure the Health, Safety and Environmental performance. Responsibilities: Identify and understand health, safety, and environmental risks and legal requirements Assisting design engineers in interpreting legal requirements and standards Perform HSE review on design and production base. Create guidelines, processes and tools for the design and documentation Support operational HSE for prototype build, test centers and test sites. Qualifications: Bachelor in Engineering or similar 10 + years of product safety experience Understanding of health, safety and environmental legislations and standards Knowledge of EU directive and HSE related standards Knowledge of design safety guidelines Hands-on experience in Risk assessment Hands-on experience in development of guidelines, process and tools 4+ year experience in a production environment 2+ year experience in a product development environment Experience working as part of an international team Competencies: Technical aptitude Collaboration skills, but still sets the agenda Strong verbal and written communications skills in English Result driven with the ability to work well independently and complete tasks with minimal supervision Ability to multitask, handling multiple priorities simultaneously Understanding complexity Flexibility Additional information: Some travel activity must be expected.
