Our Oral Protein Formulation Unit (OPF) is looking for a dedicated, professional and enthusiastic new colleague to join us on a voyage towards the development and production of break- through oral formulations of proteins.
About the team
Oral Analytical development is part of Chemistry, Manufacturing and Control (CMC) Development, a sub-division of Research & Development. We are responsible for solid state characterization and development and validation of analytical methods as well as analytical support and QC release of oral protein products for preclinical and clinical trials.
You will be joining a team of dedicated colleagues, both scientists and laboratory technicians. Together we represent many years of scientific experience enabling us to innovate and solve exciting and challenging tasks every day.
In the future, we are foreseeing exceptional interesting assignments as we are working on developing the oral diabetes products to go to market in the future. What we do is really innovative and important and in Novo Nordisk “all eyes are on us”.
The job
As an Analytical Scientist you will be responsible for analytical development and validation of analytical methods including chromatographic methods (HPLC/UPLC) and methods for solid dose formulation (e.g. dissolution). Other key tasks include support to stability, formulation, process development and solid-state characterization.
You contribute actively to ensure documentation of the analytical work to the right quality level and maintain the quality system in the team. On an ongoing basis you take responsibility for ensuring that the facility and the equipment is validated and functioning for the purpose. Writing deviations and change requests and driving improvement tasks will also be a crucial part of your responsibility.
Additionally, you will take part in planning the different tasks and engage in a constructive collaboration with our internal stakeholders including Oral formulation and process development, Quality Assurance, Production and Research & Development.
In other words, this position gives a great opportunity to use or train project management skills taking lead on your tasks, communicating and coordinating with stake-holders cross functionally.
Qualifications
You hold an MSc or PhD in Pharmacy, Engineering or a related field within analytical support for oral solid dosage forms. A background from the pharmaceutical industry and experience with analysis of tablet or capsules and/or proteins would be an advantage.
