What it’s all about

As a product designer you take charge of a product’s UX and UI from a holistic point of view. Not only creating beautiful and useful user experiences, but doing so with an understanding of our users and the business behind the products we build – taking part in the idea generation and following through on concept development, prototyping and visualization.

We are looking to add a passionate UX/UI designer to our Marketing Product team. The marketing suite consists of our Analytics tool, which helps our customers optimize on-site user flows and measure key business metrics, our SEO tool, which helps our customers increase their organic traffic from search engines and our upcoming Ads tool, which will help customers optimize their paid traffic.

Siteimprove is a growing SaaS company with an expanding portfolio of online services that help customers optimize their online marketing channels and content. We have a lot of data to present, so the great challenge is to design a system that is easy to use and self-explanatory while exposing large amounts of data in meaningful visualizations and actionable insights.

Our UX designers believe in good, solid design that puts the user first and form a small but passionate community following the latest trends and design news. Most of the design team uses Sketch, Abstract and Invision and a few utilize HTML/CSS/JS prototyping, but there is freedom to choose the tools you work most effectively with and we often experiment with new tools and share the findings. The design team is also currently making a collaborative effort to build a design system and front end component library together with the development guilds. The goal is to ensure the consistency and scalability of our ever-growing platform, so designers and front-enders can focus more on experiences and visualizations and less on pixels and paddings.

What you’ll be doing

• Lead efforts to gather user needs to guide visual and functional design
• Convert user needs and feedback into user flows, prototypes, sketches, wireframes, high-fidelity mockups and requirements for developers
• Define and take charge during the design phase using best practice design processes
• Work closely with development teams to ensure a high-quality implementation and user experience
• Excited to work in a fast-paced environment

What we require of you

• Experience with the full cycle of a product design process
• UX skills like research, wireframing, prototyping and testing
• Experience with prototyping as a means to explore and convey design solutions
• A critical mind to product development. Not only design but how products, features and UX support business goals.
• UI design experience (it’s a plus if you have worked with data heavy interfaces)
• Self-driven, autonomous work attitude, but also a collaborative team player
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
