Our highly specialised equipment and innovative technologies help meet rising global demands for processed foods and beverages, particularly in emerging markets. In the Aftermarket Department, we are looking for two Area Service Managers, who will be part of a globally operating team that service, troubleshoot and process optimizes Gerstenberg Schröder equipment globally at our customers’ locations. This position will take you travelling 40 – 80 days per year. Assist and coordinate our existing customers’ technical needs As Area Service Manager, you are responsible for assisting our customers technically in an assigned geographical area spanning several countries. From your base in Soeborg, Copenhagen, you handle service enquiries, troubleshooting, work out service calculations and quotations, and you contact sub-suppliers and subcontractors regarding new parts when necessary. Further, you assist coordinate service repairs with customers and the Service Technicians, who execute the repairs and new installations. About a third of your time, you will spend selling new and improved parts and equipment to our existing customers. As customers explain their issues – or you are at their sight inspecting their machines – you present new products. At the same time, you explain our state-of-the-art equipment to their product line staff, emphasizing how these products will result in increased quality and productivity. Occasionally, you will assist our sales representatives at customer meetings as the technical expert. Technical specialist with excellent networking skills You are a technical expert with a commercial mind-set, who understands how to make our customers benefit from using our products. Thus, you: • Are an educated Engineer or hold a similar relevant academic education. • Have at least 5 years of experience with service and maintenance of process equipment. Sales experience would be an advantage. • Speak and write fluent English. German would be an advantage. As a person, you are proactive, service-minded and outgoing, allowing you to easily build and maintain relationships with our customers across countries and cultures, as well as internally with our development, shipping and supply chain departments.
