Do you want to electrify public transportation in North Europe?

Join Aowei Technology Development in Aalborg as a Technical Support Engineer. We are looking for an experienced and self-driven Technical Support Engineers with a background in mechanical engineering or similar background to support our sales efforts and development projects.

Description:

Aowei Technology Development A/S is a newly founded subsidiary of the Shanghai-based Shanghai Aowei Technology Development Co. Ltd. We produce ultracapacitors which are used to store energy in electrical buses, ferries, trams, and many other vehicles and applications.

In the coming month and years, we will build up a local sales organisation and R&D-team. The aim is to develop solutions for the electrification of public transport and transportation in general to customers in Denmark and North Europe. Our customers will be public transportation authorities, operators and private companies in the energy sector, amongst others.

As Technical Support Engineer at Aowei Technology Development, you will be working closely with the R&D department in Shanghai in order to support and engage with our local customers and projects partners.

Your key tasks:

• Act as the primary liaison between the company and your customers
• Act as a consultant and offer solutions for customers' problems
• Communicate and solve customers' problems via phone, email, and face-to-face meetings 
• Provide prompt and accurate feedback to customers
• Work with all internal groups, including sales, engineering, product management at the headquarters in Shanghai and the local office in Aalborg.
• Help to write applications for research and development projects.
• Advise the engineering department in Shanghai on Danish industrial standards for electric vehicles and other related areas.

In other words, you will be the main contact point and local representative for our lead engineers and developers in Shanghai, delivering on-site support to partners and customers on the Nordic Markets. At the same time, you will be one of the first of many new employees at Aowei’s Aalborg office, therefore you must be able to work independently. So, be prepared to be challenged every day and expect to meet new opportunities all the time.

As part of your job, you must expect to visit our headquarters in Shanghai to receive in-depth technical training. Also, expect to be sent on shorter business trips in the Nordic Regions to visit customers and partners.

Ideally, you have the following competencies:

• Bachelor degree or above in mechanical engineering, electric engineering, electrical automation, or other related majors.
• Experience with electric vehicles, electric ships, trams, and other related machinery;
• Knowledge of relevant industry policies and standards;
• Result oriented and problem-solving approach to work;
• Excellent communication skills enabling you to convey complex issues in a simple yet precise manner, as well as presenting results in a professional way;
• Proficient in English and Danish. Knowing Chinese is a plus, but not a requirement.
