Secure a stable platform of external suppliers

Within our engineering department in Billund, we have an Elements & Moulds division dedicated to providing the moulds used in our production facilities worldwide. Here you will join the External Mould Manufacturing team responsible for sourcing injection moulds from external suppliers.

Joining us in either Billund, Denmark, or Singapore, depending on where you reside, you will be a part of this international team consisting of 10 colleagues. Whilst each of your fellow supplier managers will take responsibility for their area of expertise and geographical region, you will manage either the Danish or the Asian region, depending on your own area of expertise.

Being responsible for managing all external suppliers within your region and area of expertise, you will:

- Interact with our internal customers, such as our production facilities, to understand business needs

 - Collaborate with external suppliers to secure timely deliveries within given budgets

- Assess and train suppliers to secure correct quality standards and technical capabilities

- Exchange relevant information between suppliers and customers about status, technical challenges, etc.

- Secure the right supply capacity in close cooperation with Procurement

Especially during start-up and close-down of supplier partnerships, and when we spot challenges and potential for new partnerships, we huddle together to share knowledge and help create a strategy for success.

Experienced toolmaker and project manager

With your ability to communicate with professionals at all levels of an organisation – from local technicians to senior management – you are efficient at spotting needs, opportunities and challenges and work to figure out solutions in collaboration with both internal and external stakeholders. You are also quality-oriented, and you always have an eye on the long-term outcomes of partnerships and processes.

Moreover, you bring:

 - 7+ years of experience as a toolmaker, tool designer, mould developer, technical engineer or the like combined with 5+ years of project management experience

- Fluent communication skills in English

-The ability to travel up to 60 days per year to collaborate with customers and suppliers

- The skills to guide and help develop junior team members

- Preferably, knowledge of the LEGO® value chain and a degree in management, toolmaking or technical engineering, although it is not a must
