You will be working directly with the controlling team, the region and the business units driving the creation of sales reports, performance analysis and various ad-hoc tasks.

As our new student you will join a high-performing team playing a central role in a growing company. The team is based on a solid financial foundation but has material interaction with key stakeholders in the organization. Team-members are more and more seen as trusted business advisors in a changing environment. We have an open and trusting environment primarily with senior controllers. Humor is extremely important. We are a very busy team with a high work load, however, flexibility goes both ways and helps us balance great challenges with a fulfilling life outside of Milestone.  You will report to the Director of Controlling.

The team is on a continuous journey from traditional controlling tasks towards a Business Partnering approach with a high degree of involvement in commercial related activities. Your schedule will be flexible according to your studies, but we are expecting that you will work approximately 15-20 hours a week with possibility for more hours during busy periods and holidays.

By nature, the jobs for the student workers are a mixture of recurring and ad-hoc assignments:

Development

  • Reports/analysis for Business Finance Partners
  • Management reporting
  • Maintenance

Management reporting

  • Update of Excel-sheets
  • Update of PowerPoint slide decks
  • Updating master data
  • Data validation

Ad hoc

  • Reports / questions per request from the business (sales/SVL/various)
  • Analysis per requests (sales/FTE/costs)
  • Involvement in financial projects

Professional background

Ideally, the candidate is at the beginning of the master’s degree and can come from many different backgrounds e.g. finance, economics or IT.

  • Holistic approach and understanding

  • Strong data- and analytic mindset
  • Good experience with IT, MS Office super-user - especially Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Fluency in English (orally and in writing)
  • Socially strong – is outgoing with the ability to connect and create trust

  • Proven competencies within the following areas of expertise are preferred:
