Strategic Communication Consultant to support transformation in Global IT

About the department

CIO office is part of Global IT, reporting directly to the CIO of Novo Nordisk. Global IT is responsible for implementing and managing critical IT systems and services across the entire value chain of Novo Nordisk and counts approximately 1000 employees across the globe. 

Global IT has recently initiated a transformation with the purpose of creating a highly efficient global organisation with aligned and optimised structures and processes. Several strategic initiatives have been launched to ensure we continue to maximize the value IT brings to the core business of Novo Nordisk. CIO office is a newly established organisational unit acting as catalyst for transformation and change, creating visibility on shared ambitions and driving cross-organisational initiatives. As Strategic Communication Consultant you will play a key role in shaping and driving initiatives to ensure all stakeholders are timely informed and involved. 

You will join a team of 30 highly skilled and dedicated colleagues working with strategy, governance, sourcing, training etc. The team is located in Bagsværd. Further, you will become a member of the Global IT communicators network.

 

The position

As multiple interdependent initiatives are running simultaneously in the different areas, your primary task will be to create and execute a targeted communication strategy for our transformation project portfolio to ensure timely information to key stakeholders in Global IT and the business areas we collaborate with. You will proactively engage in various projects and utilise your competencies to enable and accelerate change, synergies and business impact. 

You will be a key driver in promoting IT as a valuable business partner by inspiring and building trust in the organisation by basing your communication on facts and results. You will work closely with the Vice President of the CIO office as well as the Global IT Communication Partner to ensure progress and transparency on strategic projects and priorities. Engaging and interacting with colleagues from all levels and areas of the global IT organisation will be key to succeed in the role. 

As the position is new, you will to a large extend be able to shape your role and provide active sparring on how, what and where communication can make the biggest impact.

 

Qualifications

You have a Master’s degree in a relevant field and 2+years of relevant working experience. You are self-motivated, have a high personal drive and a winning personality. You are an excellent communicator and facilitator and have a positive attitude towards pursuing new tasks and responsibilities. You master and balance the discipline of strategic planning and hands-on execution and will be able to demonstrate, how you have previously delivered value in a similar set-up. You understand facts and numbers and have experience with Project Management. You work independently and is not afraid of putting pen to paper. You thrive in a busy, global environment and understand how to navigate between stakeholders at all levels of a large global organisation. 

Fluency in both written and spoken English is a pre-requisite.
