You’re picturing a role in our Creative Play Lab (CPL), where you could make your mark on worldwide projects and be a key driver of turning big ideas into real opportunities for the LEGO Group to invest in.
Core Responsibilities
This role will be driver of key strategic projects and initiatives in CPL that are being developed to become new big launches for the LEGO brand in the future (2021+). Being based in Billund you will:
• Drive CPL projects successfully forwards as marketing lead or product owner for key projects for the future LEGO portfolio (creating projects with yearly big business and innovating LEGO play, go to market and business models).
• Create new ways of working with marketing for the LEGO group in early development.
• Lead business model innovation of market sizing, business cases, product assortments as well as creating new revenue streams based on new service economies.
• Lead the innovation of consumer engagement drivers that creates new exciting play experiences and new ways to create talk of the school yard.
• Lead the innovation of go to market models such as launch strategies, market and channel penetration, pilots etc. etc.
• Making project teams productive, fun and visionary both as a informal leader and member of the team – through both physical and virtual influence.

Creative Play Lab is The LEGO Group’s primary product and experience innovation department. Our role is to build radically new, big & fun LEGO experiences that delight and inspire the builders of tomorrow.
Our work become the cornerstones in creating a strong, global portfolio, but at the same time we experiment with new initiatives that prepare the LEGO brand and business for tomorrow.
The key words that describe our teams and the mindset we work with are: Open, Curious, Hands-on, Fun, Get-it-done. Our teams of innovators are currently working out of Billund, London and Los Angeles and the ambition it to build up strong innovation hubs in Singapore and London.
Do you have what it takes?
• 2 years entrepeneurship/incubator/start up experiences: Having worked inside bigger organisations innovation teams or having worked with starts ups is requirement.
• +8 years digital marketing ecosystem: Proven ability to engage and acquire consumers/customers
• Needs to have proven evidence of having driving innovation across both the harder (business) and more creative (products, experiences, communications) side of marketing.
• Proven experience in creating new ways of working within marketing and as such seen as marketing innovation thought leader
• An ability to and willingness to travel 30-50 days per year.
• Fluent in English (written and spoken)
• Formal education is not a requirement, but relevant education (e.g. Masters) within marketing, entrepreneurship etc is a plus.
• Strong self drive
• Excellent team work and collaboration skills
